Bella

Bella is a F1 Groodle, who was imported to our program. She is a large medium groodle, weighing 22 kgs and is 48 cm floor to shoulder.

While Bella does not have the traditional teddy bear groodle look, through DNA testing and our in-depth knowledge of genetics were are able to pair her with a compatible stud to get the groodle qualities we are looking to achieve as we did with her last litter, which we could not have been happier with in terms of colours, traits and temperament.

Bella has one of the most amazing temperaments I have ever had the pleasure of having in a dog that only comes along every so often. As a complete package she is the most beautiful girl in terms of temperament, size and colours, and we are so lucky to have her in our program.  Every time I look at her smiley photo used below it melts my heart. She honestly loves being a mum, she is the best mumma to her own pups and also other pups we have here on the farm – it is just so sweet how they all work so well together and help each other out.

She has passed her genetic testing and is DNA clear and has been pennhip scored, with a score of 0.36 (well under the breed average).

Bella has the colour genes to make chocolate, gold and black puppies and while her puppies are a little more ‘poodley’ looking than our F1s and multigen groodles, her puppies temperaments and gorgeous unique colouring make them a very popular choice.

Bella’s puppies are also highly suitable for therapy, service or facility work with many going on to do just this. In any litter it is common to only get 1-2 puppies that are highly suitable for this type of work and only if you are breeding with parents with suitable temperaments. In Bella’s last litter when we did their evaluations at 7 weeks, 5 of the 9 puppies in the litter tested as highly suitable across the board (i.e. suitable for therapy, service and emotional support work) and all except perhaps 1 or 2 tested as compatible in at least one area (i.e. therapy work with an experienced trainer), which is nothing short of amazing! I knew they would have beautiful temperaments, but they far exceeded even my expectations. So, if you are looking for a special needs dog, this is the litter I would be seeking a puppy from when we repeat it later in 2024.
