A Considered Approach to Ethical Groodle Breeding

FAQs
Are you an ethical Groodle breeder?
Yes. Fairview Park is an ethical Groodle breeder in NSW, operating a low-volume, family-based breeding program. We prioritise the health, temperament, and long-term wellbeing of our dogs over volume or speed, and we are transparent about our processes at every stage.
Do you have Groodle puppies available now?
We do not offer puppies before they are born. Groodle puppies are only offered once a litter has arrived, and families are contacted in line with our waiting list and matching process. This approach ensures ethical breeding practices and allows us to prioritise the wellbeing of both puppies and families.
Why don’t you allocate puppies at birth?
We believe temperament matters more than appearance or order on a list. Puppies develop at different rates, and allocating at birth does not allow for meaningful assessment. By waiting until puppies are older, we can guide families toward the best possible match for their lifestyle and needs.
Where are your Groodles raised?
Our Groodles parents are raised in family homes, either with us or with carefully selected guardian families across NSW. Puppies are all born on the property and we do not raise dogs in kennels. This family-based environment supports confident, well-adjusted dogs who transition more easily into their new homes.
What is a guardian home program?
Our Groodle guardian home program allows our breeding dogs to live full family lives while remaining part of our ethical breeding program. Guardian families care for the dog as their own, while we retain breeding responsibilities and costs. This model supports the wellbeing of our dogs and limits the number of dogs on any one property.
What size Groodles do you breed?
At Fairview Park, we primarily breed mini and medium Groodles, as these sizes suit many families and lifestyles.
From time to time, we may also plan a standard Groodle litter, depending on demand and the suitability of our breeding dogs. Because we operate a low-volume, ethical breeding program, litter sizes and planned pairings vary, and availability is always guided by what is in the best interests of our dogs.
How long is the waiting list for a Groodle puppy?
Waiting times vary depending on litter size, timing, and individual family requirements. Because we are a low-volume Groodle breeder, families should expect a considered wait (betwen 6-12 months). We believe waiting for the right match leads to better long-term outcomes for both dogs and families.
Are your breeding dogs health tested?
Yes. All breeding dogs at Fairview Park are health tested and temperament assessed prior to breeding. We are happy to discuss health testing and provide relevant information to families as part of our transparent approach.
What support do you provide after puppies go home?
We offer ongoing guidance and support for the life of your dog. Families are welcome to contact us with questions as their Groodle grows, whether relating to training, development, or general care.
Can we visit before joining the waiting list?
We don’t offer general visits prior to joining the waiting list. Our focus is on maintaining a calm, low-stress environment for our dogs and puppies, and limiting visits is an important part of that.
Families who progress through our process to puppy allocation are invited to visit when the pups are between 4-6 weeks old.
We share regular updates, photos, and information so families feel informed and confident without the need for frequent in-person visits.
Do you ship or transport Groodle puppies?
We are able to ship puppies throughout Australia and many of our puppies go interstate. We do not ship overseas.
What makes Fairview Park Groodles different from other breeders?
Fairview Park is built on a philosophy of ethical, low-volume breeding and thoughtful puppy matching.
We do not breed for volume or quick availability, and we do not allocate puppies at birth. Instead, we focus on temperament, health, and long-term suitability, guiding families toward the right match rather than leaving decisions to chance.
Our dogs are raised in family homes through our guardian program, our breeding dogs are health tested and temperament assessed, and we provide ongoing support for the life of the dog. For families who value transparency, patience, and ethical breeding practices, this approach makes all the difference.

Quick Facts About Us
- We specialise in smaller groodles (ranging from mini-medium). However we do do the occasional small standard litter. Our size range is generally around 13-18 kgs for our F1bs and multigens and 16-22kg for our F1s.
- We breed both beautiful fleece and soft curled wool coats.
- All breeding parents are fully health tested – DNA, hip and elbow scored and results are provided to puppy parents in a comprehensive dossier (and can be provided to potential puppy parents on request).
- We are founding members of the Australian National Groodle Association – setting and promoting the highest of Groodle breed standards in Australia.
- We genuinely only breed to meet demand, if we don’t feel confident that an expected litter will have a home prior to mating, the mating does not go ahead
