📝 How to Reserve a Puppy

Reserving your puppy is simple and transparent. Here’s how it works:

  1. Start by reviewing the information on this page, along with our detailed information on the pages below:

  2. If you decide we are a good fit for you and you would like to go ahead with applying to join our waitlist; please apply by filling in an application form.
  3. We will respond to your application within 48 hours and invite you to book in for an introductory chat.
    • We ask all potential puppy owners to have a short phone or Zoom chat so we can answer questions and ensure a great fit.
  4. During that discussion we will talk about timings and preferences and pencil you in for upcoming litter(s).
  5. Once we have a confirmed pregnancy with availability matching your preferences, we will contact you to offer a reservation spot for that litter.
  6. At this point we will ask you to pay a reservation fee.
A $500 non refundable reservation fee secures your spot on the waiting list for the confirmed litter.

  7. Receive Your Confirmation
Once reserved, you’ll receive access to our Litter Dossier, ongoing updates, and our community support group.

  8. Detailed information on our reservation process can be found by clicking here.

If you’re not quite ready, we still recommend you apply now, as our waiting list can get quite long at times. If offered a spot and you’re not quite ready you’re more than welcome to remain on the waitlist until the timing and litter is right. More notice is better than less and a long lead time generally means you will be toward the top of the pick list for the litter you do move forward with.

🐶 Our Puppy Allocation Process

We don’t allocate puppies on a “first-come, first-served” basis. Instead, we do what’s best for both puppy and family.

Here’s how we do it:

  • At 7 weeks, each puppy is temperament tested.

  • Based on your preferences (e.g., energy levels, coat type, family dynamics) and the results of the test, we guide you to the best match.

  • Your pick order is taken into account, but our top priority is a good match for lifelong success.

  • More information on our allocation process can be found by clicking here.

We’re proud that many of our puppies become therapy or assistance dogs and perfect matches for both families and dogs with special needs — and that’s thanks to a thoughtful, personalised matching process.

🙋‍♀️ Frequently Asked Questions

❓Q: How long is the waitlist?

💬 A: Our waitlist typically ranges from 4 to 9 months, depending on the timing of our litters and the preferences of families already on the list. Some families may be matched more quickly if their preferences are flexible, while others may choose to wait longer for a specific gender, coat, or timing.

❓Q: Can I request a specific gender or coat type?

💬 A: Yes, absolutely — we welcome your preferences, whether that’s gender, coat type (fleece or wool), or colour. We’ll always do our best to accommodate these requests. However, our top priority is matching each puppy with the right home based on temperament, lifestyle, and family dynamics.  If your ideal match isn’t available in a particular litter, we’re happy to carry your reservation over to the next suitable one.

That said, the more flexible you can be, the quicker we’ll likely be able to place you with a puppy. If matching on multiple fixed criteria (such as a specific colour, gender, and coat type) is more important to you than temperament or fit, our program may not be the best fit. We focus on raising puppies with sound temperaments to suit a range of families — and while we understand that aesthetics matter, our priority is healthy, well-adjusted dogs who thrive in their new homes.

❓Q: What happens if I can’t accept a reservation spot offer when my spot comes up?

💬 A:  That’s absolutely fine — we want you to feel ready and confident when the time comes to welcome your puppy home. We understand that timing doesn’t always align perfectly. Because we have a number of families on our waiting list, we’re able to be flexible. If you’re not ready when your spot is offered, we’ll simply move your reservation to the next available litter and reach out again when it’s time to allocate spots for that group.

❓Q: How do you allocate puppies to families?

💬 A: Around 7 weeks of age, we complete formal temperament testing and provide you with a comprehensive dossier, including test results, photos, curriculum records, and a detailed temperament summary for each puppy. This is designed to help you make an informed choice that suits your lifestyle and preferences.

While the final decision is yours, our goal is to guide you toward the best match — and occasionally, if a particular puppy has specific needs or we feel a certain match wouldn’t be ideal, we may step in to ensure the right fit. That said, it almost always works out beautifully, and this approach gives our puppies a voice in the process too.

Q: Can I meet the puppies before choosing?

💬 A: Yes! Families on the reservation list are invited to attend an in-person meet-and-greet when the puppies are between 4 and 6 weeks old. However, to protect the health and safety of our pups, we aren’t able to offer visits to the general public.

If you’re located further away, we’re happy to arrange a video meet-and-greet so you can still get to know the litter. We also schedule allocation calls around 7 weeks of age to walk you through each puppy’s temperament and help guide your decision.

Q: What support do I receive after taking my puppy home?

💬 A: Fairview Park families receive:

  • Lifetime support via phone, email, or our private Facebook group

  • Access to our Puppy Handbook and discounted access to the Baxter & Bella online training program

  • Our lifetime health and rehoming guarantee — we stand by every aspect of our program and we’re always here if circumstances change

Q: What’s included with my puppy?

💬 A:  All puppies go home with:

  • Vaccination & vet check records

  • Microchipping & worming history

  • A puppy pack with food, blanket, toy & training guides

  • Ongoing support & a lifetime of love

  • Much more, please click here for more information.

❓ Q: What are your verifications and certifications?

💬 A: At Fairview Park, we’re proud to uphold the highest standards of ethical breeding and care. We are a founding member of the National Groodle Association (NGA) and follow strict guidelines around health testing, ethical practices, and responsible breeding.

We are also verified through RPBA and have Outstanding Breeder Status with RightPaw.

All of our breeding dogs are DNA-tested through Orivet, and are hip and elbow scored. We prioritise sound temperament, health, and structure in every pairing. We also comply with all relevant state and local regulations, including biosecurity protocols, vaccination schedules, and microchipping requirements.

Our program has been designed with expert input and ongoing education to ensure our puppies are raised in a safe, enriched, and socially responsible environment. Our dogs are pets first and foremost and are much-loved members of the family. Our pups are showered with love from their very first moment until being handed over to you. They have only ever known love, comfort, full bellies, enrichment and the best quality care.

❓ Do you have a Guardian Program and can you tell me more about that:

💬 A: Our Guardian Program places carefully selected puppies into loving local homes at a reduced cost in exchange for partnering with us in our breeding program. Guardian families provide a forever home, and we retain breeding rights for a set period. Guardians are involved in raising and loving one of our future mums or dads, while we cover most breeding-related expenses. It’s a great way to be part of the Fairview Park family and enjoy the companionship of a top-quality Groodle or Bernedoodle at a 50% discounted cost of the puppy which is fully refunded at the end of the agreement.
